Chris is coached by Richard Holt of Momentum Sports and is currently a part of their Project 2012 set up, which provides him with additional support beyond coaching, such as sports massage and nutritional advice.

Though primarily a 200m runner, he has competed in a range of track and jump events for Kingston and Poly AC, and has found particular success in the Long Jump. He has represented Wales twice at Under 20 level, Surrey at Under 23 and Senior level, and has reached the semi-finals and finals of the 200m and Long Jump respectively in the BUCS Championships.

He has also been an important part of the club’s British Athletics League team, participating in 23 of the last 24 competitions. 2011 saw Chris break the 50-second barrier in the 400m with relatively little training in the event, and so he is looking to specialise in the one-lap event in the future.
