Diary of an Athletic Nobody – Restless Legs John Connolly 27 Jul 11 15:55Report

Here she lies in her fleecy gown, by my side in the eiderdown, but she can’t get a ticket to Morningtown, cos I’ve got restless legs

Ran a few double sessions Monday/Tuesday and will probably get out tonight. Hada tough session yesterday, 6 x 3 mins but 4 of them were up/down hills – just over 3.5 miles for the session with Ian and Adam in work. PLS were running a short 12 x 90 seconds session in the evening but I couldn’t get out in time to join ‘em so ended up running 6 miles from my house and around Sefton Park. Good to see so many runners/joggers/walkers out and about in the sunshine.

Ran my usual 10 mile afternoon session with Stu Doyle today, tough in the heat but we still managed to keep it sub 7. Debating Whether to do a Sale Sizzler 5k tomorrow night, it’s end of month Devil’s Gallop with PLS in the evening which is usually a good chance to catch up with the lads and lasses from the club. We’ve just got a new member James McNally who should be eligible for the Northern and North West Counties relays in September. He’ll be a great addition to the team, already running 17’s for 5k and sub 28’s for 5 miles and he’s only 26.
